Tesla Certified Wall Connector Installer

Electric Vehicle Chargers

Free quote, a dedicated circuit from your panel to where you park, and a virtual same day inspection with an L&I Electrical Inspector.

Chapter 01

Is your home ready for a charger?

If you've bought an electric vehicle, are you ready for the convenience of an at home charging station? A wall charger on its own circuit is what turns the garage into the place your car fills up overnight, instead of a cord and a wall outlet doing the job slowly.

Two things decide how a charger install goes: your panel and your parking spot. A charger is a heavy load that can run for hours, so it gets its own breaker, and the panel needs the room and the capacity to carry it alongside the range, the dryer and everything else in the house. If yours is crowded or old, we'll tell you at the estimate, not after the wall is open.

Where you park matters just as much. Garage wall, carport post or the side of the house by the driveway, the circuit has to travel from the panel to that spot. The distance, and whether the route runs through finished walls, along a foundation or around siding, is what we measure when we write up the job.

How we install it, start to finish

We have partnered with Tesla Motors and have become certified Wall Connector installers. Since then we've installed many electric car chargers, and we've mainstreamed the process so it's a smooth transaction for you.

It starts with a free quote. Once you've purchased your charger, our electricians run the dedicated circuit from your panel to the spot where you want it, and mount the charger there. You buy the unit, we do the wiring, and nobody is guessing which breaker the new load belongs on.

The crew works out of the shop on Fruitvale Blvd and drives to Yakima, Selah, Ellensburg and Suncadia.

Chapter 03

Inspection, and what you're left with

When the wiring is done we do a virtual same day inspection with an L&I Electrical Inspector. L&I, Washington's Department of Labor & Industries, is the agency that inspects electrical work in the state, and a charger circuit is no exception.

That inspection is why the charger isn't a weekend-project wire job. The circuit is dedicated and inspected, so your car isn't sharing a line with the garage lights or a chest freezer. We work under WA L&I electrical contractor licence WATTSE*851BK, and we're licensed, bonded and insured. If you have a question before you buy a charger, the shop number is (509) 902-8040.

“I had a great experience with Wattsmart Electric! I dealt with Josh who was super responsive and communicative. They did some additional wiring to get my new Tesla EV charger installed where I wanted it, and they also wired up a switch for my new garbage disposal. The work was done promptly and it was done well. I would definitely use them again in the future!”
